Police conduct back to school safety campaign

Dennilton SAPS members, Captain Khosa, Communicating officer, Sergeant Selala, the Social Crime Coordinator, Constable Masombuka held a Parents meeting at Hosea Aphane combined School following the challenges experienced during their last School visit.

Sergeant Selala addressed the Parents on the following issues:

* How Domestic violence can affect learners’ performance at school

* child abuse

* Crimes affecting our youth such as bullying, theft, school vandalism, use of drugs

* hitchhiking

*safeguarding their kids, will minimise risks of missing children incidents, abduction, drowning and other serious incidents

* they were advised to encourage kids to take part in sporting activities or any other community development projects for kids.

* they were also encouraged to attend community meetings offered by law enforcers.

* they were discouraged about mob justice and to rather report crime to police

* to report any crime and to work hand and glove with the police

* encouraged to use suggestion box that are placed at their Local Magoshi offices.
