Police confiscate dagga worth more than R13 000

KIMBERLEY- The Frances Baard Cluster Operational Commander, Colonel Nicholas Mtongana and his team, raided two houses in Dingaan Hostels and confiscated dagga worth more than R13 000-00. A 25-year-old woman was arrested and charged for dealing in dagga.

The suspect’s house was raided after the police received information about dagga which was stored in two houses in Dingaan Hostel, Galeshewe. During the instantaneous raid and search in two identified houses in Dingaan Hostels, 632 packets of dagga weighing 8.65 Kg combined was confiscated.

The suspect is expected to appear before the Galeshewe Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 04 March 2020 for dealing in dagga.

The cluster Commander of Frances Baard, Brigadier Gabathata Makgari commended the community members for displaying a high level of confidence in the police by working in partnership in the fight against crime.
