Police divers recovered body of a drowned teen, search for another boy continues

MDANTSANE – Experienced and dedicated police drivers brought closure to the deceased’s family when they recovered the body of a 15-year-old boy today.

This is after two boys went missing while swimming with their friends at Bridle Drift (Grinaker) dam near Mdantsane yesterday.

The circumstances surrounding the incident is not clear at the moment. An inquest has been opened for investigation.

The divers are continuing with the search for another missing 12-year-old boy from the same river.

An appeal is made to parents not to allow children to go swimming alone and unattended in rivers, sea and dams.
