Police hot on the heels of robbery suspects

KING WILLIAM’S TOW – Police are hot on the heels of the suspects involved in a business robbery in Peddie at about 08:35.

It is alleged that the manager was together with his two employees when the suspect entered, pointed him with a firearm and ordered him to open the safe. At that stage, two other suspects followed and started kicking him. The manager opened the safe and the suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of money and a cellphone. They fled the scene with the car belonging to the business which was later found abandoned. No one was injured during the robbery.

“SAPS Detectives will work around the clock to trace, track and arrest these suspects,” said Eastern Cape Provincial Commissioner, Lt Gen Ntshinga.
