Police hunt house robbery and murder suspects

EASTERN CAPE – Bethelsdorp detectives are seeking the communities’ assistance in tracing house robbery and murder suspects that shot and killed a man in Polar Park on Friday 22 May 2020 evening.
It is alleged that at approximately 23:20 Mwabusa Bushendwa (40) and his son were in their Pearce Street house when someone knocked on the door. The son went and woke up his father who then opened the door. Two suspects entered the house and both were armed with firearms. They argued with Bushendwa and instructed the son to go to his room. A gunshot was heard and when the son came out, he found his father with a gunshot wound to the chest. The son called for help. Two cellphones were taken.
Bethelsdorp detectives are investigating a case of house robbery and murder.
