Police in West Rand District continue to raise awareness beyond the annual 16 Days of Actvisim campaign

GAUTENG – The annual 16 Days of No Violence Against Women and Children campaign, a United Nations initiative, concluded on Saturday, 10 December 2022.
Fighting crime is a 365 days commitment and it is for this reason that police in West Rand District continue to raise awareness on crimes against women, children and vulnerable persons.
On Monday, 12 December 2022 SAPS Krugersdorp Station Commander, Brigadier Happy Xaba together with his members, SAPS communication officers and social crime coordinators within the district, representatives of the local Community Policing Forum (CPF) and various other stakeholders embarked on an awareness campaign.
Community members were sensitised on topics such as gender-based violence, domestic violence, substance abuse, human trafficking and sexual offences.
The members also urged community members to report crime to their nearest police
