Police investigate alleged murder of a reverend

POTCHEFSTROOM Police in Itsoseng are investigating the alleged murder of an 83yearold Reverend Joseph Hollanders, whose body was discovered at his house within a church premises at about 13:45 on Monday, 13 January 2020 in Bodibe Village.

According to information available at this stage, reports suggest that the victim’s body with hands and feet tiedup, was found by a community member who alerted the police. The motive of the incident is unknown at this stage and a post mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.

The North West Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Sello Kwena, condemned the incident which he described as horrendous. Moreover, he urged members of the community to team up with the police to ensure that perpetrators are brought to book.
