POTCHEFSTROOM – Makgobistad police are investigating murder and inquest dockets following an incident that took place in Disaneng Village in the early hours of Friday morning, 7 May 2021. This is after a 45-year-old boyfriend allegedly shot and killed his 39-year-old girlfriend in the neighbour’s yard.

According to information available at this stage, reports suggest that the girlfriend’s children from a previous relationship ran to the neighbour for help. The neighbour was opening the door when she saw the boyfriend pointing his girlfriend with a firearm. She tried to intervene and pleaded with the boyfriend not to shoot his girlfriend.
