The Northern Cape SAPS Flying Squad with the help of the Kimberley SAPS K9 unit pounced on two men with a firearm and ammunition. On Saturday, 27 July 2019 at about 22:00 the police followed up on information of an alleged male gardener that stole a Point 22 Calibre pistol and ammunition from his employer in Richie and sold it to man in Modderrivier. The 45-year-old male was arrested at his house Modderrivier for theft of a firearm and ammunition while the 46-year-old alleged male purchaser was arrested for the illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition. Both the suspects should be appearing in the Modderrivier Magistrates Court soon. The investigation continues.
