EASTERN CAPE – Police are investigating a case of business robbery after three armed men alleged hit a tavern in Addo today.

On Wednesday, 05 February 2020 around 02:00, it is alleged that three men that were wearing balaclavas forced open a door of a tavern in Main Road, Nomathamsanqa, Addo. An employee that was asleep behind the counter was woken by the noise of an opening door. One of the suspects armed with a firearm held an employee at gunpoint and forced him to lie down. The suspects stole cash, liquor, a cellphone and a laptop before fleeing the scene.

Police urge anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects to contact the investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Alistair Daniels at 082 441 7906. Information may also be shared via Crime Stop at 08600 10111.
