PORT ELIZABETH – Detectives are urgently seeking the communities’ assistance in identifying and/or tracing the next of kin of three alleged murder victims in separate incidents on Sunday, 21 February 2021.
In the first incident, on Sunday morning, 21 February 2021 at about 05:50 police in Swartkops found the body of a male approximately between the ages of 20 and 30, lying in the street on his back in Kohler Road in Perseverance. The deceased person sustained multiple injuries to his head. He could possibly be an African or a Coloured male. He was wearing blue jeans and blue striped T-shirt. A case of murder is under investigation and anyone who can assist police in identifying him or locate his family is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Luyanda Maneli at SAPS Swartkops on 082 697 5845.
At about 08:00, SAPS Motherwell detectives attended a murder opposite Ciko Street in NU 5 in Motherwell. It is alleged that the body of an African male, approximately in his thirties, was found in the open veld. He sustained multiple bruising on his body. He was wearing a grey T-shirt with black jeans. Police suspect that he may have been dumped in the veld. A case of murder is under investigation and anyone who can assist police in identifying him or locate his family is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Bongani Gwili at SAPS Motherwell on 082 388 5376.
At 21:10, SAPS Kwanobuhle police attended to a complaint of a shooting at the corners of Dana and Mali Streets in Kwanobuhle. The victim in his late 20’s was found lying in the street with a bullet wound in his neck. The deceased was well dressed – white Nike takkies, dark blue jeans, Relay cap and a black and red jacket. His cell phone was still with him. A case of murder is under investigation and anyone who can assist police in identifying him or locate his family is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Andile Gusha at SAPS Kwanobuhle on 082 441 8139 or Detective Captain Deon Arnolds 082 779 7277.
None of these murder cases are related. The motive in all of the above cases are unknown and no suspect was arrested.
