Police seeks identity of woman found floating in the sea

GQEBERHA – SAPS Humewood detectives opened an inquest after the body of an unknown woman was found floating in the sea this morning, 03 November 2022.
It is alleged that on mentioned date at approximately 11:00, a family walking on the beach spotted the body in the water at Cape Recife, Lighthouse and alerted police. SAPS divers retrieved the body. The woman who is African is unknown and was only dressed in her bra. She is estimated to be between 50 and 55 years. There was no visible injuries on her body and the cause of death will only be determined once a post mortem is done.
Anyone who can assist in tracing the family of the woman or may be able to identify her or can furnish any information relating to her death, is asked to contact SAPS Humewood on 041 504 5019/20 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or the nearest police station or send information via MYSAPSAPP. All information received will be treated as confidential and callers may opt to remain anonymous.
