Police sting operation yields success: Richie

A crime intelligence driven sting operation nets two drug suspects in Richie. The Kimberley SAPS K9 unit, Public Order Policing and Crime Intelligence unit recently raided two separate premises in Richie. At the first premises police found some dagga, Mandrax and a home-made firearm with one live 9mm round, hence the male suspect was charged with illegal possession of firearm, ammunition and drugs. At the second premises police also found dagga and arrested one male suspect and charged him with dealing with dagga. The estimated total value of drugs and dagga is R1600. Both male suspects should be appearing in the Modderrivier Magistrates’ Court soon. The investigation continues.
