Positive tip-off leads to arrest of two suspects for dealing in dagga

POLOKWANE-The Police in Saselamani outside Thohoyandou have arrested two suspects aged suspects 21 and 25, alleged to have been dealing in dagga.

On Thursday 01 September 2022 at about 06:00, police who were performing normal patrol duties, acted upon information from the community about suspects dealing in dagga at Mhingaville village. Police arrived at the said house and searched the premises. They then found large plastic bags containing dagga with the estimated street value of R8 000.

The two suspects were immediately arrested and charged with dealing in dagga. Police also discovered that one suspect is an undocumented person and was charged for contravening the Immigration Act.

The duo will appear before the Saselamani Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 05 September 2022.
