Premier Chupu Stanley Mathabatha addresses the annual Batho Pele day celebration, 21 Nov

The white paper on transforming Service Delivery requires that departments should report back the implementation of Service Delivery Standards through Citizen’s reports. The province organises Batho Pele Day on an annual basis to present departmental and provincial citizen’s report to stakeholders.

The Provincial Batho Pele Day follows built-up activities which involves various service provided by government. The programme is facilitated and coordinated by the Office of the Premier, Batho Pele programme in partnership with Batho Pele coordinators in departments and municipalities. The province has through department of CoGHSTA, established District Forums to take government services to local government.

Limpopo hosts Batho Pele Day celebration in order to create awareness about government services through interaction with citizens with the aim of addressing their concerns. All District and Local Municipalities, Provincial and National Departments will take part during this special Provincial event wherein Premier Mr Chupu Stanley Mathabatha and all Members of Executive Council will reflect on emerging service delivery issues and recommit the Provincial Government in partnership with all stakeholders.

Batho Pele day is an initiative by government that aims to enhance the quality and accessibility of government services by improving efficiency and accountability to the recipients of public goods and services. Limpopo Premier, Mr Chupu Stanley Mathabatha will deliver keynote address at the annual Batho Pele day celebration.
