Premier Job Mokgoro opens newly built school structures and addresses Male Medical Circumcision Summit, 4 Oct

Premier of the North West Province, Prof Job Mokgoro will on Thursday, 04 October, officially open the newly built classrooms, Administration block, Nutrition block and renovated buildings at Reuben Monareng Primary School in Tlhabane, Rustenburg.

The official opening of these facilities is part of a series of completed service delivery projects the Premier will be handing over in line with his second 100 days in office plan of action.

The construction and renovation project which was started by the provincial department of Education and Sport Development in 2016, is valued at R9.7 million.

Reuben Monareng Primary school is one of the old structures built in 1959, and has for the current academic year enrolled 817 learners.

Premier Mokgoro will be accompanied by the MEC for Education and Sport Development in the province, Sello Lehari and the school management.

The Premier will immediately thereafter leave for Rustenburg Kloof Safari Lodge where he is expected to address a Male Medical Circumcision (MMC) Summit hosted by the provincial Department of Health.

The summit which is held to develop a strategy on an integrated MMC model, will be attended by traditional leaders, stakeholders that perform Male Medical Circumcision like Aurum Institute and Center for HIV and AIDS Prevention Studies (CHAPS), and other role players.
