President Abbas discusses latest developments in Palestinian territories with Italian Deputy Prime Minister

President Mahmoud Abbas this evening met with the Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani, at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah, where they discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian territories.
President Abbas briefed Tajani, along with the accompanying delegation, on the latest developments in the Palestinian territories, stressing the importance of complying with international legitimacy and signed agreements and stopping all unilateral measures.
The president affirmed the depth of relations between the two countries, praising Italy’s positions in support of achieving peace based on the two-state solution and in accordance with international law. He further praised Italy’s assistance to build state institutions, among others.
For his part, Tajani stressed his country’s continued assistance and its support for achieving peace based on the two-state solution and in accordance with international law.
