Provincial Task Team bring perpetrators to book

The Western Cape Provincial Integrated Team continues to ensure that perpetrators of crime are brought to book. This afternoon, the team conducted an intelligence driven operation and went to an address in Paarl-East. Upon arrival, the members searched the house and found firearm with ammunition. A 41-year-old man was arrested for possession on unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
In an unrelated matter on Monday morning, the police officials followed up on information in Nyanga and arrested two suspects at different locations aged 28 and 41 for possession of ammunition.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, 22 August 2020 the team acted on information and proceeded to an address in Atlantis and they arrested a 27-year-old suspect after he was found in possession of an explosive device (CS gas grenade) and drugs.
The arrested suspects will appear in court once charged.
