Provincial Women’s Network and Men for Change pays courtesy visit to one of our own

Members of Lady Grey Station were privileged when they got a surprised visit from the Provincial Women’s Network and Men for Change supported by neighbouring stations and units within the Aliwal North Cluster.

This visit emanated after the Lady Grey Community embarked on an illegal strike on 6 March 2019 whereby they become violent and damaged state property, throwing stones at police and thereafter they eventually also damage the property of Cst Nthako.

After the visit of the Provincial Commissioner Lt Gen Liziwe Ntshinga on 7 March 2019 it was brought to her attention and she opened her heart and hands to the effected member and requested the Provincial Women’s Network and Men for Change to go back to the member and relief her stress and pain.

Today the Provincial Network Champion Col Dembula together with her team supported by the Aliwal North Stations and units, the Women’s Network ladies, all wearing white T-shirts and jeans arrived at Lady Grey.

Police Chaplain Rev Monare opened the official gathering with a short prayer to uplift the spirit of our effected colleague Cst Nthako that was emotional with tears of joy.

Col Dembula said:” Today I feel honoured to be part of this occasion as the Woman’s Network we are a structure that wants to bring hope, joy and love. We must trust God all the time and pray so He will give you strength!

She acknowledged the contributions made by all the Cluster Commanders, Station Commanders and colleagues around the Province that made the day to be a success.

She received gifts such as a new refrigerator, microwave, ironing materials, groceries etc and cash contributions of money from stations within the Cluster including Sterkspruit, Lady Grey and Burgersdorp.

In her reply she said after this visit she feels stronger and felt there is parents in this organization.

Aliwal North acting Cluster Commander, Col Mpho Rabele commended the efforts of the Provincial Women network and Men for Change in partnership with our colleagues around the Cluster.

The visit is much appreciated by the Aliwal North Cluster looking after our own as SAPS. Thank you for supporting the member in her challenges.
