Public Service and Administration hosts 2017 Presidential Golf Challenge

Members of the media are invited to the annual Presidential Golf Challenge (PGC) which is hosted as part of the State of the Nation Address (SONA) activities.

The objective of the event is to raise funds for a Corporate Social Investment (CSI) initiative by the President with this year’s contributions to be made to the Jacob Zuma Education Trust.

The golf event will afford the President an opportunity to emphasise the role of business in economic development and growth using education as a tool for sustainable development and economic growth.

The networking opportunity between decision makers in the private sector and government will also allow for CSI alignment that seeks to make education for the poor a reality.

Since its inception, the Jacob Zuma Education Trust has provided access to education to over 20 000 students and learners from the most disadvantaged backgrounds.

Attending the golf day will be Cabinet Ministers; Members of Parliament; Members of Executive Councils; Directors-General; Heads of State Owned Enterprises and Executives from the private sector.
