Members of SAPS Langlaagte arrested two suspects in Zamimpilo informal settlement on Monday, 14 March 2022 and recovered an unlicensed firearm with ammunition.

The SAPS members were reportedly out on a routine crime prevention patrol when they heard gun shots being fired in the area of Zamimpilo informal settlement. Three suspects noticed the members and a chase ensued. Within minutes the SAPS members apprehended two suspects and recovered an unlicensed firearm with ammunition. The third suspect managed to evade his arrest; further investigation is still under way.
