WESTERN CAPE – The Robertson Regional Court Magistrate found 29 year old Wandisile Mack guilty on a charge of murder and he was sentenced after he was convicted in June 2019.

The incident took place at Reitz Street in Robertson on 15 October 2018, when the accused, following a verbal argument, fatally stabbed the deceased, Alexis Lewis with a knife.

The swift reporting of the incident and the willingness of witnesses to come forward, led to the successful arrest and subsequent prosecution of the perpetrator.

The accused admitted guilt to the investigating officer, Warrant Officer Burger and the trial prosecutor, Mr Claudius Goliath secured the guilty charge in court.

The accused was sentenced to an effective ten years imprisonment on the charge of murder.
