Police members of Roodepan SAPS and Provincial Support personnel under the command of the Station Commander, Col Regina Mienies are vigorously clamping down on illegal liquor trading.

During the early morning raids today, 27 December 2019, the members pounced on an illegal shebeen in Lerato Park that was visited last week and the owner arrested.

However, he continued trading and this morning liquor to the value of R8000,00 was confiscated and the shebeen closed down.

Col Mienies warned the tavern and shebeen owners that she will act harshly against them as she will enforce the law vigorously so.
