NORTHERN CAPE – Roodepan crime prevention members under the command of the station commander, Colonel Regina Mienies this morning at 05:00 while conducting crime prevention duties confiscated 1 934 mandrax tablets as well as 6 bags of crushed mandrax.

The operations were conducted in the area of the Roodepan flats where drug dealing is prevalent. A 29-year-old female suspect was found in possession of the mandrax tablets which is valued at R250 000-00. She will be appearing in the Galeshewe Magistrates court soon on a charge of Dealing in drugs.

Col Mienies sent a strong message to the residents of Roodepan that she will be enforcing the law vigorously so during the Festive Season, squeezing the space for criminals to operate.
