The Saharawi Republic (SADR) on Wednesday participated at the regular meeting of the press attachés accredited to the embassies of Member States of the African Union.
The Saharawi Republic (SADR) was represented at the meeting by Wadadi Salek, press and cultural attaché to the Saharawi diplomatic mission to the African Union.
The meeting was to discuss media project “Africa aspirations”, which provides for the development of African press discourse.
Organized by the AUC Directorate of Information and Communication, the meeting aimed at finding ways to develop Africa’s strategy in the field of information and communication.
Through these meetings, the African Union seeks to promote the role of African media and increase the level of awareness among peoples of the continent and make them involved in the decision-making.
It also aims to consolidate the pivotal role of African media in the future to aware, guide and provide information within the African Agenda 2063.
The African Union Commission took the opportunity to invite AU press attachés to contribute in circulating information about AU efforts to establish peace in Africa, follow up all activities of the Union and the ongoing preparations for African force.
It is to be recalled that AUC Directorate of Information and Communication will organize training on media in South Africa in the period from 19 October to 7 November this year.
