Safer Schools awareness campaigns continue to gain momentum in Limpopo Province

POLOKWANE – The Communication Officer, Sergeant Monatse Mamabolo attached to the Provincial Media Centre of the Component Corporate Communication and Liaison, has once again descended to Makeketela Primary School in Mankweng policing area outside the City of Polokwane as part of the ongoing school safety campaigns throughout the Province, yesterday, Friday 09 April 2021.

The following stakeholders were also in attendance, the School Government Body (SGB), parents and a total number of 45 learners who were addressed about the following significant issues:

• Discipline;

• Bullying;

• Drownings;

• Gangsterism;

• Procedure to report missing persons and

• The importance of participating in Community Police Forums (CPF) and the neighborhood watch.

Mr Mabokela, the donor and the SGB handed school uniforms to the less advantaged learners.

Lastly, the SAPS Mankweng contact numbers of the management including the station’s Community Service Centre and for the Capricorn District Commissioner were distributed to the community.
