SAPS Worcester K9 Unit members seize drugs, two suspects arrested

WORCESTER – The quick response of SAPS Worcester K9 unit members led to the arrest of two suspects aged 22 and 31 for dealing in drugs.
On Saturday, 12 November 2022 at about 15:00, the members received information about tik being transported in a truck. The truck was stopped at the N1 Meiringspark Crossing, Worcester. Narcotic dog Akali was utilized and reacted positively. The tik was found in a black backpack and it was concealed in plastic holders. The driver and co-driver of the truck were arrested. The drugs was seized and handed in as exhibit. The value of the drugs with a weight of 5.120kg, is still to be determined.
The suspects are due to appear in the Worcester Magistrates court on Monday, 14 November 2022 on the mentioned charges.
