On Thursday, 26 October 2017 from 09:00, Sedibeng Cluster Stations including Flying Squard Unit, K9, TRT, Cluster Task Team, Meyerton community Patrollers, Home Affairs Immigration, PRASA, Transnet as well as Tobacco Institute of South Africa held a Festive Season Operation at Meyerton Prencinct.

The operation was focusing on the prevention of crime in the area of Meyerton and the following successes were made:

8 undocumented persons were arrested

dagga confiscated (found abandoned)

1 dangerous weapon confiscated (knife)

2 illegal gambling machine as were confiscated.

Counterfeit snuff and cigarettes were also confiscated.

Along the operation the groups embarked on stop and searches and high visibility patrols around all sectors in Meyerton area. The operation was a success.
