Six armed robbers arrested at Heuningvlei

NORTHERN CAPE – The police have arrested six business robbery suspects at Heuningvlei this morning. The six suspects allegedly committed robbery at a business premise after breaking the wall yesterday. The shop owners were pointed with firearms and knives. One shop owner was stabbed with a knife and has been admitted in Hospital.

The suspects fled with undisclosed amount of cash. The Cluster Commander of John Taolo Gaetsewe, Major General Johan Bean activated Cluster Trio Task Team, Kuruman High Way patrol, Kuruman POP and Heuningvlei members to hunt for the suspects.

The suspects were arrested at Bathlaros while in a taxi from Heuningvlei. The suspects were found in possession of two rifles, two pistols, ammunition, bolt cutter, knives and undisclosed amount of cash. The Cluster Commander applauded the members for the prompt reaction.

The suspects are expected to appear before the local Magistrates court soon. Police investigation continues
