Mdantsane police pounced on the suspects during business burglary on a well-known butchery and arrested six suspects for business burglary, possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition in Highway shopping centre last night.

Members were on patrol when they spotted the six suspects around Highway acting suspiciously, which prompted a search. They were found with possession of two unlicensed firearms and burglary implements like grinders hammers to mention but a few.

An undisclosed amount of money was taken.

The suspects, aged between 25 and 50 years old, are due to appear in the Mdantsane Magistrate’s Court for business burglary, possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition soon.
