The Democratic Alliance sends its deepest condolences to the family of the recently deceased anti-apartheid poet and South African literature luminary, Mr Adam Small.

News reports yesterday revealed that Mr Small had passed on due to complications he had experienced due to routine surgery on Friday, 24 June 2016.

Whilst the country grieves his loss, let us all remember the outstanding literary works of Mr Small and celebrate the achievements of his life. He exemplified an unwavering commitment and contribution to freedom in South Africa.

Rest in peace Mr Small, you will forever remain in our thoughts and memories for your contribution to our freedom.
