Pretoria: The South African government has reiterated its commitment to ensuring that all South Africans, regardless of their race or political views, have a home in the country. This statement comes in response to recent allegations that white South Africans attempting to resettle in the United States under claims of "white genocide" have been denied visas.

According to South African Government News Agency, Minister in the Presidency Khumbudzo Ntshavheni addressed the media following Wednesday's Cabinet meeting, emphasizing the government's dedication to protecting the rights of all South Africans in accordance with the Constitution. Ntshavheni stated, "South Africans irrespective of their political views will always have a home in this country without the fear of political persecution and suppression in accordance with the laws of the Republic."

Ntshavheni acknowledged that while South Africa faces ongoing socio-economic challenges, these issues affect citizens across all races and genders. She stressed the importance of collective action involving government, political parties, labor unions, businesses, civil society, and individuals to address these challenges. The Minister highlighted the necessity of acknowledging the lasting impact of apartheid and the importance of redressing past injustices.

Cabinet urged South Africans to reject any attempts to undermine democratic progress through racial mobilization, and to instead focus on building a united, non-racial, and prosperous nation.
