STERKSPRUIT � Today, 21 May 2019, different stakeholders around the Senqu Municipality area, in particular Sterkspruit, participated in an agricultural road show.

Emerging farmers assembled at Patrick Shibane Stadium in support of the special event.

Departments that were part of the event also included some of the provincial departments; the Department of Rural Development, Agricultural Reform of the Eastern Cape, Social Development, Eastern Cape Economic Development and Environmental Affairs, the SAPS, Nwuk, Bkb, Sterkspruit art, zoetis, Senqu Municipality, Provincial PES (SAPS) and Talita,Cmw.

The Barkly East Mounted Unit supported by local horse riders, Corporate Communication and Stock Theft Unit members proceeded to town in the form of a motorcade.

Pamphlets were distributed to the community as a build-up to the main event, which is to start tomorrow, 22 May 2019 at 08:00.

Tomorrow, the emerging farmers will be bringing their livestock for the road show, which will including horses, pigs, chickens, cattle and sheep.

The spirit of the Emerging farmers is very high for the event!
