EASTERN CAPE – The Station Commander of Sterkspruit Police Station, Colonel Baninzi, the Detective Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Mpupulwa, Captain Dyasi, Sector Managers, Department of Safety and Liaison, Department of Home Affairs, DEDEAT, Community Policing Forum (CPF) And the Youth all proceeded to Mfinci A/A in Sector 3 to view the functionality and revival of the Crime Sector Forum that was established.

An overview of the crime trends in the locality was addressed and community engagements was the focus of the day.

The concerns raised by members of the community were dealt with.

The community appreciated the visit and contributions were also made by the sister departments.

In the second area of Makheteng (sector 1) the similar activities took place to address the high levels of crime and to revive the activities such as regular meetings between the sector Commander and the community. Crimes against woman and children were also addressed as a priority for the SAPS.
