NORTHERN CAPE – The members of ZF Mgcawu District Highway Patrol who were on duty received information from a reliable source about a stolen Toyota Fortuner that is in transit between Upington and Olifanthshoek on Tuesday morning, 19 July 2022.

They immediately operationalised the information and during a high visibility patrol on the N14 they spotted the vehicle transported on a tow truck.

They intercepted the operation and upon further investigation it was confirmed that the vehicle was reported stolen at Folweni SAPS.The stolen vehicle was found cloned with a foreign registration number.They impounded the vehicle for further investigation. No arrests has been made.

The Acting District Commissioner of ZF Mgcawu, Colonel Peet Coetzee commended the members for the swift response and continuous effort in the fight against crime.
