Suspect arrested pertaining the Namahadi family murders

FREE STATE – An integrated team of investigators appointed to investigate family murders in Marakong village, Namahadi, Qwaqwa worked round the clock to trace those responsible for the gruesome murders.

Within the 72-hours threshold given by the Acting Provincial Commissioner of Free State, Major General Solly Lesia, a breakthrough was made on Wednesday, 07 April 2021, at about 19:30, when a 21-year-old man was arrested in Mphatlalatsane, Qwaqwa.

The suspect will appear in Phuthaditjhaba Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 09 April 2021 on charges of murder, arson and attempted murder.

“We are expecting to make more arrests soon”, said Major General Lesia.
