POLOKWANE- A 34-year-old suspect was nabbed at Sekgakgapeng in the Mahwelereng policing area last night, on Wednesday, 23 December 2020 at about 21:30 for possession of suspected stolen properties during the ongoing festive season operations.
The members of Limpopo Highway Patrol Team, Provincial Crime Intelligence Unit and Mahwelereng Saps received a tip-off about the suspect in possession of suspected stolen properties and followed it. Upon arrival at the said house, it was searched and Police confiscated three (03) suspected stolen Plasma TV screens with the estimate value of R21000 00.The 34-year-old suspect was arrested on the spot.
The process of profiling this suspect is underway and there is a possibility of linking him with other burglary incidents in and around this area. The origin of the recovered items will be determined by the ongoing police investigations.
The suspect will soon appear in Mahwelereng Magistrate’s Court facing a charge of possession of suspected stolen properties.
