This afternoon, four suspects were arrested on Sefako Makgatho drive following a chase with members of the Tactical Operational Management Section assisted by MDOC, Tracker Connect and Highway Patrol.

It is reported that information was received about a Mazda that was to commit a robbery around Kolonnade shopping mall. The vehicle was positively identified on the said road driving in an easterly direction and at the corner of Sefako Makgatho and M15 Koedoespoort, the vehicle was intercepted. Four suspects aged between 23 and 31 were arrested. The suspects’ vehicle was identified as robbed in Laudium earlier this month and three unlicensed firearms were recovered on the scene.

The suspects will appear in court soon on charges of possession of suspected robbed motor vehicle as well as unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
