WESTERN CAPE – Eager to bring those responsible for crime to book, members of the Provincial Integrated Team embarked on a crime operation last night in Mbekweni, Paarl East and Eersterivier. In Mbekweni tik and heroine were seized at an identified address while the drug dealer is still being sought. Also in Mbekweni a 33-year-old suspect believed to be a drug dealer was arrested in Madikane Street with dagga, tik and mandrax.
From Mbekweni the members proceeded to Paarl East where a 16-year-old suspect was apprehended with mandrax tablets, and in Chicago a 30-year-old man was arrested in Bona G Squares for the possession of tik.
In Eersterivier a suspect was arrested for being in possession of two unlicensed 9mm pistols and ammunition after his residence in Whiting Street was searched.
While the exact values of the confiscated drugs is yet to be determined, the suspects are scheduled to make their respective court appearances once they have been charged.
