Suspects nabbed with home-made shotgun and dealing in drugs

KING WILLIAM’S TOWN: A fifty-two (52) year-old woman from Kubusi Village, Stutterhiem was arrested for dealing in drugs last night during a crime intelligence operation.

Following an information from a concerned community member, Police managed to apprehend the suspect at her home at about 20h00. On police arrival they searched the house and found one (1) arm dagga, forty-four (44) straws of tik, twenty (20) small plastic bags containing tik, twenty-three (23) mandrax tablets, five (5) half mandrax tablets and thirty-five (35) quarter mandrax tablets.

During the same operation a suspect was arrested at about 20h40 at his flat in possession of drugs. The suspect was caught with twenty (20) boss mandrax tablets, 1 (one) quarter mandrax tablet, twelve (12) straws of tik, loose dagga hidden in a Tupperware container, one (1) R5 live ammunition and one (1) self-made shotgun in his flat.

More than R5000 worth of drugs, shotgun and one live R5 ammunition was confiscated by police in this operation. Both the suspects will be appearing at Stutterhiem Magistrate Court tomorrow.
