The National Economic Development and Labour Council to hold its 24th National Annual Summit

The National Economic Development and Labour Council (NEDLAC) will be holding its 24th Annual Summit on September 26 at Cedar Woods of Sandton.

The Summit, under the theme Creating jobs together, preparing for the future of work and the 4th Industrial Revolution” will be opened by Department of Employment and Labour Minister TW Nxesi and the Deputy President David Mabuza will deliver a key note address during the occasion.

Several Ministers and Members of the Executive Council from the nine Provinces are expected to attend the Summit.

The Acting Executive Director Teboho Thejane will present the Council’s Performance and Financial reports for the financial year 2018/19.

Besides providing us with the opportunity to give feedback on the Council’s mandate and activities, we will also be obtaining inputs from organisations and or people who are not normally involved in our daily activities. We want to establish a broader ownership of the institution”, said Teboho Thejane the Acting Executive Director: Nedlac.

New in the basket for this year will be the panel discussion that will be focusing on job creation as well as preparations and adaptations for the 4th Industrial Revolution.

The panel discussion will be setting the agenda for Nedlac and its social partners �Organised Community, Labour , Business and Government going forward”, Thejane continued.
