The Police in Makhado outside Thohoyandou have launched a massive manhunt for the two house robbery and murder suspects.

The manhunt follows an incident which occurred at Tshikota area outside Makhado yesterday, 02 May 2018.

It is alleged that three (03) armed suspects entered a rental place and robbed victim’s cellphones, laptops and cash amount of money and subsequently one of the victims, aged 34 years, was shot and later succumbed to the injuries at the local hospital.

The Police were summoned and reacted swiftly and the Intelligent driven operation ensued until three (03) suspects were spotted along one of the streets and the Police warned them to surrender.

They did not comply and ultimately, they started shooting at the Police who retaliated and during the process, one of these suspects was fatally wounded and the other two evaded the arrest and disappeared.

The process of identifying the deceased is still unfolding.
