Three (3) suspects nabbed for various crimes

BARKLY EAST – In their concerted efforts to eradicate crime, last week, on Thursday, 30 January 2020, Members of Elliot K9 Unit were busy conducting high visibility patrols and stop and search duties around Lulama Hlanjwa Location, Barkly East.

While busy with their duties, members received a tip-off about suspects in possession of suspect stolen property (meat). The members immediately operationalised and followed up on the information received leading to the arrest of three (3) suspects aged between 29 and 38.

All three suspects were detained at Barkly East Police Station awaiting appearance in court facing two charges namely, possession of suspect stolen property (meat) and a second charge of dealing in drugs was added after 1and a half mandrax tablets and tik were found in their possession.

The Elliot Cluster Commander, Colonel Matshediso Gezani commended the swift action by the members that led to the arrest of the suspects. These actions show commitment and dedication.
