Three arrests, unlicensed firearms recovered

KIMBERLEY – Members of the Kuruman Public Order Police made a major breakthrough by arresting three suspects who were planning to commit an armed robbery.
Three unlicensed firearms and 39 live rounds of ammunition were also seized from the suspects.
The suspects were on Crime Intelligence’s radar for some time.
The suspects were arrested at a filling station at Kagung yesterday. Three unlicensed firearms, ammunition and the VW Polo Vivo car seized.
The Acting Provincial Commissioner of the Northern Cape, Major General Phiwe Mnguni has applauded member’s prompt intervention.
The suspects will be appearing before the local Magistrates court soon.
Police investigation continues.
