Three behind bars for stock theft: Pampierstad

In the early hours of Wednesday, 04 July 2018 police in Pampierstad, with the assistance of the SAPS Stock Theft Unit and Kgomotso SAPS (North West Province) followed up on information of alleged stock theft in Shaleng Village in North West Province.

The SAPS members did way lay duties and spotted a Toyota Quantum with 2 cows on a trailer hence stopped and searched them and found that the cattle was allegedly stolen. Upon further investigation, police also retrieved two more cows in Sekhing village. It was found that the cows were allegedly stolen in Seoding Village in Pampierstad and Shaleng Village near Taung. All the live-stock was handed back to their rightful owners and the estimated value of the cows is R50 000.

The three adult male suspect should be a appearing in Court on charges of stock theft soon. The investigation continues.
