ALICE – Police members attached to Alice OCC arrested three suspects for dealing in drugs during an operation yesterday at about 16:00.

Police received information about a house at Golf Course, Alice used for sale of drugs. They followed it up and recovered fifteen mandrax tablets, three halves and thirteen small plastics of TIK. On investigation, they also recovered an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspects aged between 20 and 55 were immediately arrested and charged for dealing in drugs.

The trio is due to appear at Alice Magistrate Court on soon.

Amathole Acting District Commissioner Brigadier Zinikele Freddie applauded the members for ensuring that when information is shared they quickly respond and ensure that suspects are brought to justice and that recovery is done. He appreciates the efforts made by the community members in assisting in the fight against crime and encouraged them to report any criminal activities to Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
