Trio Task Team members seize a vehicle as they arrest suspects linked to hijacking and business robbery

POTCHEFSTROOM – In an effort to address trio crimes, the Brits Cluster Trio Task Team arrested two suspects, aged 34 and 35 on Friday, 18 October 2019 for business robbery and car-hijacking.

The suspects were apprehended following an operation that was conducted by the team and Hebron detectives to trace the suspects who had been committing crimes using a white minibus. It was during the operation that the team seized a white Toyota Quantum and cellphones.

Further probe into the matter linked one of the cellphones to an armed robbery committed in June this year in Rietgat near Mabopane, Gauteng Province.

The suspects are expected to appear in the Ga-rankuwa Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 21 October.
