Truck Hijacked With Load of Imported Motorbikes [press release]

The South African Police Service is appealing to the community to assist them in tracing a truck load of motorcycles which were stolen during a recent hijacking at Van Reenen.
On Saturday, 7 March 2015, a truck driver had stopped at the Van Reenen Truck Stop when he was confronted by three suspects. They took his truck which they drove to the Bluebank area where a container was broken open and 6 motorcycles imported from Italy were stolen.
The motorcycles are all marked on the petrol tank with the word “Beta”. They are off-road motorcycles and are not available for sale in South Africa as yet. This stolen load was the first of their kind to arrive in the country.
