Khartoum: Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) Malik Agar met today with the Secretary-General of the South Kordofan Reconstruction Fund, Sir-Al-Khatim Abdel-Rahim Toto, to discuss the government's support for the fund's initiatives.

According to South African Government News Agency, the Vice-President affirmed the government's commitment to providing the necessary support for the establishment of the fund to achieve its intended objectives. The meeting underscored the government's efforts to operationalize the fund, which includes setting up a permanent headquarters in the eastern area of the state, known for its secure and stable conditions.

The Secretary-General informed reporters that the establishment of a permanent headquarters would allow the fund to identify projects for implementation and gather information directly from the field. This initiative is part of the government's broader efforts to support reconstruction activities in South Kordofan.
