Tuckshops Compliance inspection in De Aar Location and Town

KIMBERLEY – On 26 January 2021, the Pixley Ka Seme District Communication Official, Sergeant Luvuyo Poni, Pixley Ka Seme District Health Inspector, Miss Ndodana and members of De Aar SAPS embarked on compliance inspections at the Tuckshops in Nonzwakazi and De Aar town respectively. One Tuckshop was closed for not complying with health standards while two Tuckshops were issued with fines to the value of R550.00 each for having expired food on their shelves.
Sergeant Luvuyo Poni, Constable Thuntsa and Constable Makaleni attached to the station’s Crime Prevention Unit further embarked on an anti-dangerous weapons campaign through stop and searches resulting in a number of various dangerous weapons being confiscated.
The Station Commander of De Aar, Colonel JD Christie expressed her sincere gratitude to the officials for their hard work and dedication.
